PRACTICE PROFILE
Paolo Bollini Architects is an established architectural design studio located in Wells, Somerset. We can help to deliver successful and imaginative buildings for all types of client, domestic or commercial. We have been involved in many house renovation and restoration projects in and around Somerset for well over 10 years. Projects which are imaginatively designed and genuinely improve people’s lives by introducing light and space into dull and lacklustre buildings. We are also invloved in self-build eco homes with passive house principles.
The practice was established in 2010 by Paolo who has over 20 years experience as a qualified Architect. Paolo gained much of his early experience working for some of the UK’s most creative and successful large and small architectural practices. These include David Grindley Architects, Sansome Hall Architects in Milton Keynes, Pringle Brandon in London and ADP in Oxford. He has hands on experience as a project architect and lead for numerous high calibre commercial developments. During this time as a project architect he worked on a variety of building types including homes, theatres, schools, offices, warehouses, shops, manufacturing, health care, student accommodation and urban planning.
APPROACH TO DESIGN
We aim to create engaging and inspiring architecture bringing space and light to improve people’s lives whilst minimising environmental impact using renewable technologies. Some of the most successful building projects are a result of a sensitive response to their external environment which themselves create engaging external spaces between buildings and offer an internal / external lifestyle. We are a practice that think laterally, listen to clients and users, assemble appropriately skilled construction teams and lead them to deliver successful building projects.
MEMBERSHIP
We are both ARB (Architects Registration Board) registered and a Chartered member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). The practice is a member of the LABC Partner Authority Scheme for building control applications in Somerset.
