This lovely Georgian town house in the historic centre of Wells has received a ten month dose of TLC with a complete internal and external refurbishment. Careful historic restoration of the plan simplifies and reconnects the internal layout with its past. An addition of a conservation roof light over the main staircase has increased the level of daylight into the central core of the house and new French doors have been sympathetically introduced to the rear in order to connect the inside with the garden space and allow for al fresco dining. All natural stonework has been carefully cleaned back to original stone, re-pointed in lime mortar and allowed to breathe naturally, whilst the original timber floors have been cleaned, repaired and given a new lease of life.
