Roof structure progress

Construction has started on this loft conversion project to add first floor bedrooms and a new bathroom onto an existing home. The conversion requires the total removal of the original roof structure to enable a new structural timber floor to be installed together with new supporting roof beams to form the new rooms. This meant that a full scaffold canopy with tin hat, like an umbrella, be installed over the property before any work commenced to protect the rooms below during the construction works. Work can now continue in the dry and reduces the risk of any lost time due to poor weather conditions. The additional cost of the scaffold is therefore offset against any lost time and property damage.
